Amy Schilling, CHC.
Amy has been involved in the healthy lifestyle field for more than 8 years. In addition to her formal training at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, she has studied at the Nutrition Therapy Institute in Denver, Colorado, has worked with Life/Relationship Coach, Rochelle Schwartz (who has been a guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show) and has had the incredible fortune of owning her own fitness center in Lake Worth, Florida. The Institute for

Integrative Nutrition's approach to nutrition is the most comprehensive, soul feeding approach Amy has studied and she so excited for the opportunity to share it with the community.
Amy's journey to a healthier life began with wanting to lose weight, but evolved into so much more. She has gone through tremendous transformations in her personal life. Some good, some extremely difficult, but with her training and the help of some fantastic people for guidance, Amy ended up happier and healthier than she ever thought possible. The choices she makes now are nourishing to the soul. Amy continues to seek and learn every day and considers it a privilege to work at something she is passionate about and loves, and to share it by helping others realize their own happiness.

Amy's Approach:
A different approach - Amy practices a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that she looks at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As you and Amy work together, you will look at how all parts of your life that effect your health as a whole.
A health coach (or health counselor) is a wellness guide and supportive mentor. Together, we’ll work to achieve your goals in areas such as achieving optimal weight, food cravings, sleep and energy. Through working with me, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the foods and lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes that will improve your energy, balance and health.
Bio-individuality - The concept of bio-individuality is that each person has her or his own food and lifestyle needs. So, when the experts say, “dairy is good for you” or “fat is unhealthy,” it doesn’t apply to everyone. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets tend to fail in the long run. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, I’ll support you in making positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, personal preferences, and background. Instead of prescribing one fix for all people, I use a personalized, holistic approach that is based on your needs.
Everything is food - We are not only fed by food but by other factors in our lives. Healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity and a spiritual practice are essential forms of nourishment. When these “primary foods” are balanced, what you eat
becomes secondary.
